How weapons worked
Each weapon came as ammo: buy a stack in the shop and every shot used one up. You paid with coins or treats, grabbed daily ammo deals, and could even open the shop in the middle of a match when you needed something bigger. New weapons arrived constantly, often themed for holidays, and some were members-only, like the Minigun in 2010. In a 2011 interview the designers explained that weapons, not pets or maps, were where the game made its money.

Wild Ones weapon questions
What was the strongest weapon in Wild Ones?
The Game Over Nuke is the weapon everyone remembers: the biggest of the nukes and the star of some of the most watched Wild Ones videos. The Mega Nuke, Missile Shower and Earthquake were also devastating.
How many weapons were in Wild Ones?
About 230 over the game's four years, according to the fan wiki. This page lists 181 of them by type.
How did you get weapons in Wild Ones?
Weapons were bought as ammo in the shop with coins or treats, and you could even open the shop in the middle of a match. Daily ammo deals, level unlocks and members-only weapons such as the 2010 Minigun added variety. Weapons were the main way the game made money.
