Who we are
We're Wild Ones fans who grew up playing it on Facebook. When Playdom switched it off in 2013, the web lost most of what was written about it: old news articles broke, forums closed and the fan wiki slowly went quiet. Wildoness is our attempt to keep a clear, accurate record of the game, and to help fans find something to play today.
Where to play today
Wild Ones can't be played anymore, so we also keep track of the games that carry it on. Our top pick is Wild Wars, a free pet battle game with the same turn-based weapon battles, cute pets, coins and treats. You'll find the rest in our list of games like Wild Ones.
How we research
Facts on this site come from news coverage of the time (Adweek, TechCrunch, Engadget, Gamasutra), Wikipedia, and the Wild Ones fan wiki, and we link our sources at the bottom of each article. Where fans disagree, for example on the exact shutdown date, we say so. Screenshots come from the fan wiki, where players uploaded them while the game was live.
